ADDing Support

We meet bi-monthly on the second wednesday evening at Great Oaks Clinic, Great Oaks, Basildon SS14 1EH. (Click HERE for directions)

Our meetings run from 7.15 – 9.30pm. Between 7.15 – 7.45pm there is an opportunity to chat to committee members, meet other parents and browse through our library. We regularly invite speakers to come and talk to us e.g. Paediatricians, Clinical Psychologists as well as those who are experienced in areas such as Dyslexia, Aspergers etc. The talk will take place between 7.45pm and 8.45pm with the final ½ hour for questions and then feedback. If we do not have a speaker then we will use the time to discuss a particular subject such as education, behaviour management etc with everyone having the opportunity to contribute and ask questions.

COFFEE AND A CHAT

There will be the chance to have a cup of tea or coffee and a chat. It can be very helpful to discuss problems or ideas with other people who are experiencing similar situations to you. Often, very good suggestions come from the other parents who are attending the meeting.  

We have videos, books and audio tapes to lend to members as well as information leaflets.  We also have obtained details of several other organisations that may be of help.

Entrance:

The entrance fee is £1.00 per person.  This covers the cost of tea/coffee and biscuits at the meetings.
